MirandaPlace Docs
Store Configuration
Store Configuration defines the store’s identity, default operating mode, pricing settings, customer options, and private storage.
To access it, go to:
Components → MirandaPlace → Settings → Store Configuration
The summary at the top displays key settings, including the default mode, currency, tax configuration, and guest-checkout availability.
Save changes using the administration toolbar.
Company Details
Enter the store’s company name and applicable tax identification information.
Upload the store logo through the available image field.
These details contribute to the store’s presentation and document-generation configuration.
Address
Complete the store’s address, including:
- country;
- state or province;
- city;
- postal code;
- street address.
The store country also contributes to checkout tax calculations and determines whether the Italian electronic-invoicing configuration is available.
Contacts
Enter the store’s email address, telephone number, and website where applicable.
Keep these details current so that customers and store notifications use the intended contact information.
Existing Documents
Changes to the company profile apply to subsequent operations.
Already-issued invoices preserve their recorded issuer information.
Default Operating Mode
Choose the default mode:
Mode | Purpose |
|---|---|
Ecommerce | Product presentation with purchasing functionality. |
Catalog | Product presentation without online purchasing. |
Content (CCK) | Structured content presentation. |
The default applies to categories configured to inherit the store mode.
A category can explicitly select another mode, allowing different sections of the website to use different behaviours.
Changing the default does not erase products, categories, or their saved commercial information.
See Operating Modes and Categories for the complete rules.
Dashboard Opening View
The store’s default mode determines which dashboard view opens initially.
Switching between dashboard views does not change this setting.
URLs Without IDs
Enable URLs without IDs to use the supported alias-based routes without numeric identifiers.
This setting works with Joomla’s routing configuration.
Check representative product and category links after changing it on an existing website.
Default Currency
Select the published currency used by the store.
Currency records are managed in the corresponding configuration section.
Changing the default currency is not an exchange-rate conversion of existing product prices or historical orders.
Prices & Taxes
Choose whether configured prices include or exclude tax.
This determines how MirandaPlace interprets prices and calculates their tax component.
Use the additional display controls to:
- show or hide the tax wording beside prices;
- show or hide the secondary net/gross price line on product detail pages.
Hiding a price label does not disable tax calculation.
Default Tax Rate
Select the default tax rate from the available published rates.
Use the tax-verification information and Manage tax rates link to review the rates associated with the store configuration.
Product tax assignments, shipping rates, and destination rules also contribute to checkout calculations.
See Taxes & Coupons for details.
Stock Management
Enable stock management to apply the supported stock checks in the cart and checkout.
Physical products use stock management according to their individual product and variant settings.
Download, Service, and Access products do not consume physical stock.
Availability Thresholds
Configure the Very low stock and Low stock thresholds used by the frontend stock indicator.
The Low stock threshold must be greater than the Very low stock threshold.
These thresholds classify availability; they do not add stock or change purchased quantities.
Guest Checkout
Enable guest checkout to allow eligible purchases without creating an account.
When disabled, customers must register or log in.
Product requirements still apply: Download, Service, and Access purchases require an account even when guest checkout is enabled.
Registration Protection
Choose the protection used by MirandaPlace customer registration:
- None;
- Simple MirandaPlace captcha.
This setting controls MirandaPlace’s registration protection, rather than replacing all Joomla account settings.
Privacy Policy & Terms
Select the published Joomla articles used for the checkout privacy-policy and terms-and-conditions links.
Ensure that customers can access the selected articles.
The order records the corresponding acceptance information during checkout.
Immediate-Performance Consent
The separate immediate-performance setting controls whether checkout requires an additional explicit consent when a purchased item uses a policy that calls for it.
When enabled and applicable, checkout presents a separate, initially unchecked consent field.
This consent is distinct from privacy and terms acceptance.
When disabled, new orders do not collect that separate consent through this mechanism. Existing order records remain unchanged.
The setting does not automatically determine the legal requirements applicable to a transaction.
Reviews
Enable or disable the frontend review feature.
When enabled, choose automatic publication or administrator approval.
Disabling reviews hides the frontend review interface without deleting existing submissions.
See Reviews & Ratings for submission and moderation behaviour.
Support Tickets
Enable support tickets to make the Support section available in the Customer Area.
Registered customers can then open order-related requests and exchange messages with the store.
See Support Tickets for configuration and handling.
Access Products — Plan Comparison Page
Select the published Joomla site menu item that opens when visitors use View plans from public collections.
This should lead to the page where you present the available Access plans.
The setting selects the destination page. It does not create plans, pricing blocks, or menu content.
Use Manage menus when you need to create or publish the destination.
See Products → Digital Downloads & Access for the associated purchase and access rules.
Private Storage
MirandaPlace uses a shared private storage location for:
- invoice and credit-note files;
- ticket attachments;
- protected downloads.
The component creates and manages the internal folders.
Product photographs remain separate from this storage.
Storage Status
The storage panel displays the current path and operational information, including its protection and write status.
Once configured and sealed, the path is protected against ordinary direct editing.
Transferring Storage
Use Transfer storage when the private files need to move to another location.
The guided operation copies and verifies the files before activating the destination. The original location is retained as a backup.
Include private storage as well as the database in your backup procedure.
FatturaPA XML Generation and Export
For stores configured with an Italian issuer, MirandaPlace can generate FatturaPA XML files for invoices and credit notes.
Choose the profile that matches how you will submit the documents:
- Self transmission: generates XML identifying your store as the transmitter. Download the files and submit them through your own SdI transmission channel.
- Aruba – manual upload: generates XML identifying Aruba as the transmitter. Download the files, upload them manually to your Aruba invoicing account, review them and complete submission there.
IMPORTANT: MirandaPlace DOES NOT send invoices or credit notes to SdI. Selecting a profile only configures the generated XML. It does not connect to Aruba, upload documents or trigger automatic transmission.
You are responsible for submitting the files and checking the resulting receipts through your chosen transmission channel. MirandaPlace does not receive SdI delivery outcomes or confirm acceptance.
Managing XML Files
Use Manage and download XML to filter invoices and credit notes, download individual XML files or multiple documents in a ZIP, and review export history.
“Already exported” means the files were prepared for download. It DOES NOT mean they were submitted to or accepted by SdI.
The selected profile applies to new invoices. Credit notes follow the profile recorded on the original invoice. Changing the profile does not update existing documents, and disabling XML generation does not remove previously generated files.
See Invoices & Credit Notes → FatturaPA XML Export for detailed configuration and download instructions.
Storage privato
MirandaPlace utilizza un’area di archiviazione privata condivisa per:
- file delle fatture e delle note di credito;
- allegati dei ticket;
- download protetti.
Database Retention on Uninstallation
Choose whether MirandaPlace should retain its database tables when the component is uninstalled.
Keeping the tables preserves the stored data for a subsequent installation.
Selecting removal makes uninstallation a data-removal operation. Review this choice before uninstalling the component.
Image Cleanup on Uninstallation
The separate image-cleanup option controls whether component-managed product images are removed during uninstallation.
Database retention and image cleanup are independent settings.
These options concern uninstallation, not ordinary updates.
