About Us
AKB Project began as a communications, graphic design and web development company.
For many years, our main activity has been — and still is today — building and managing websites for companies and professionals. This means dealing every day with real-world needs: building websites efficiently, maintaining them over time, keeping them updated, adapting them to client requirements, and simplifying tasks that would otherwise become repetitive or unnecessarily complex.
Our philosophy
Our products grow out of our work
We started working with open-source CMS platforms many years ago, with Joomla as well as WordPress and other systems. At first, we used and adapted tools already available on the market. Over time, however, our needs became increasingly specific.
We therefore started developing the tools we needed ourselves. Templates, modules, plugins, components and management tools were not originally created as products to sell, but as solutions designed to simplify our daily work and that of our clients.
This is still the foundation of our development philosophy today:
first comes a real need, then we build the tool to solve it.

Our development journey
2019 - Junostar is born
In 2019, we developed the first version of Junostar.
Junostar was a PHP-based template system that used Joomla’s own administration fields to let us configure and manage templates according to the way we worked.
Junostar was originally created as an internal tool. For several years, it was part of our Joomla website development workflow.
2022 - JunostarPro arrives
In 2022, we decided to completely rethink that system.
JunostarPro was born and progressively replaced the old Junostar, which was eventually discontinued.
JunostarPro keeps the same core idea - having a flexible and controllable system for building and managing our templates - but with a more modern structure designed to evolve over time.
From that point on, JunostarPro became the foundation of our Joomla template ecosystem.
2026 - MirandaPlace arrives
In 2026, MirandaPlace arrives as our new solution. It is a new product built on more than 16 years of experience developing, maintaining and managing real websites for our clients.
MirandaPlace grew out of another internal need and the experience gained while working with e-commerce, catalogue and structured-content solutions, with the aim of creating a more complete, integrated and flexible system.
Our approach
An ecosystem built in the field
The same principle has guided the development of all our other AKB products.
Our editorial modules were created because we needed them on our clients’ websites. Our plugins were developed to solve specific problems we encountered in our daily work. Our templates grew around JunostarPro and the way we build websites.
MirandaPlace follows the same path. After years of working with different e-commerce, catalogue and structured-content solutions, we started developing a system that better matched the way we work: less fragmented, easier to manage and flexible enough to be used across very different types of projects.
MirandaPlace, too, does not come from a theoretical product concept.
It comes from one of our own needs.

After many years of experience with Joomla and other CMS platforms, we decided to make some of the tools we have built - and continue to use in our own work - available to other agencies, developers and professionals.
AKB Project represents this transition.
We are not building a collection of unrelated products: we are gradually turning the way we work into a coherent ecosystem of Joomla tools.
Where we are going
We continue to work as a web agency, and this remains an important part of our development process.
The needs we encounter on real client projects continue to influence what we build, improve and add to our products.
JunostarPro, MirandaPlace, our templates, modules and AKB plugins will therefore continue to evolve according to the same principle they were built on:
solving real problems with tools we would use ourselves.

Chi Siamo
AKB - Andrea Kozul Bini s.r.l. nasce come azienda di comunicazione, progettazione grafica e sviluppo web.
Per molti anni il nostro lavoro principale è stato - ed è ancora oggi - realizzare e gestire siti internet per aziende e professionisti. Questo ci ha portato a confrontarci ogni giorno con esigenze concrete: costruire siti in modo efficiente, mantenerli nel tempo, aggiornarli, adattarli alle richieste dei clienti e semplificare attività che altrimenti diventano ripetitive o troppo complesse.
La nostra filosofia
I nostri prodotti nascono dal nostro lavoro
Abbiamo iniziato a lavorare con i CMS open source molti anni fa, con Joomla, oltre che con WordPress e altre piattaforme. All'inizio utilizzavamo e adattavamo strumenti già presenti sul mercato. Con il tempo, però, le nostre esigenze sono diventate sempre più specifiche.
Abbiamo quindi iniziato a sviluppare internamente ciò che ci serviva. Template, moduli, plugin, componenti e strumenti di gestione non sono nati inizialmente come prodotti da vendere, ma come soluzioni pensate per semplificare il nostro lavoro quotidiano e quello dei nostri clienti.
Questa è ancora oggi la base della nostra filosofia di sviluppo:
prima nasce un'esigenza reale, poi costruiamo lo strumento per risolverla.

La nostra storia di sviluppo
2019 - Nasce Junostar
Nel 2019 sviluppiamo la prima versione di Junostar.
Junostar era un sistema template scritto in PHP che utilizzava direttamente i campi di Joomla nell'amministrazione per permetterci di configurare e gestire i template secondo il nostro modo di lavorare.
Anche Junostar nasce inizialmente come strumento interno. Per diversi anni è stato parte del nostro processo di sviluppo dei siti Joomla.
2022 - Arriva JunostarPro
Nel 2022 decidiamo di ripensare completamente quel sistema. Nasce così JunostarPro, che sostituisce progressivamente il vecchio Junostar, poi abbandonato.
JunostarPro mantiene la stessa idea di fondo - avere un sistema flessibile e controllabile per costruire e gestire i nostri template - ma con una struttura più moderna e pensata per evolvere nel tempo. Da quel momento JunostarPro diventa la base del nostro ecosistema di template Joomla.
2026 - Arriva MirandaPlace
Nel 2026 arriva MirandaPlace, la nostra nuova soluzione. Si tratta di un prodotto nuovo, nato da oltre 16 anni di esperienza nello sviluppo, nella manutenzione e nella gestione di siti web reali per i nostri clienti.
MirandaPlace è nato da un'esigenza interna e dall'esperienza maturata lavorando con soluzioni di e-commerce, cataloghi e contenuti strutturati, con l'obiettivo di creare un sistema più completo, integrato e flessibile.
Il nostro approccio
Un ecosistema costruito sul campo
Lo stesso principio ha guidato la nascita di tutti gli altri prodotti AKB. I moduli editoriali sono nati perché ne avevamo bisogno nei siti dei nostri clienti. I plugin sono nati per risolvere problemi specifici incontrati durante il lavoro quotidiano. I template sono cresciuti attorno a JunostarPro e al nostro modo di costruire siti.
E MirandaPlace nasce dallo stesso percorso.
Dopo anni di utilizzo di diverse soluzioni per ecommerce, cataloghi e contenuti strutturati, abbiamo iniziato a sviluppare un sistema che rispondesse meglio al nostro modo di lavorare: meno frammentato, più semplice da gestire e sufficientemente flessibile per essere utilizzato in progetti molto diversi tra loro.
Anche MirandaPlace, quindi, non nasce da un'idea teorica di prodotto.
Nasce da una nostra esigenza.

Dal nostro lavoro ai prodotti AKB
Dopo molti anni di esperienza con Joomla e altri CMS, abbiamo deciso di rendere disponibili anche ad altre agenzie, sviluppatori e professionisti alcuni degli strumenti che abbiamo costruito e continuiamo a utilizzare nel nostro lavoro.
AKB Project rappresenta questo passaggio.
Non stiamo costruendo prodotti separati tra loro: stiamo trasformando progressivamente il nostro modo di lavorare in un ecosistema di strumenti Joomla coerenti.
Dove stiamo andando
Continuiamo a lavorare come agenzia e questo rimane un elemento importante del nostro sviluppo.
Le esigenze che incontriamo sui progetti reali continuano a influenzare ciò che costruiamo, miglioriamo e aggiungiamo ai nostri prodotti.
JunostarPro, MirandaPlace, i template, i moduli e i plugin AKB continueranno quindi a evolvere seguendo lo stesso principio con cui sono nati:
risolvere problemi reali con strumenti che useremmo noi stessi.
