MirandaPlace Docs
Getting Started
This is the official documentation for MirandaPlace on Joomla 5 and Joomla 6.
Follow these steps to install MirandaPlace correctly, access its administration interface, and begin configuring your store, catalog, or structured content or booking system.
System Requirements
- Joomla 5.4.x or Joomla 6.x
Note: MirandaPlace is not compatible with Joomla 3 or Joomla 4.
Installing MirandaPlace
MirandaPlace is distributed as a complete Joomla installation package.
The package includes the main MirandaPlace component together with all its dedicated modules and plugins. You do not need to download, install, or enable these extensions separately.
The complete package contains:
- the MirandaPlace component;
- 5 dedicated frontend modules;
- 14 plugins for payments, shipping, PDF generation, privacy integration, scheduled tasks, and user management.
1. Download the Installation Package
Download the complete MirandaPlace ZIP package from the download section of your AKB Project account.
Do not extract the ZIP file before installation.
2. Install MirandaPlace in Joomla
- Go to System → Install → Extensions.
- Select the Upload Package File tab.
- Upload the MirandaPlace ZIP package.
- Wait for Joomla to complete the installation.
- Go to Components → MirandaPlace to open the administration interface.
Joomla automatically installs the MirandaPlace component and all the included modules and plugins. The plugins are enabled during installation, so no manual activation is required.
The frontend modules can be published, configured, and assigned to the desired template positions from Content → Site Modules.
Included Extensions
The installation package includes dedicated modules for displaying:
- the shopping cart;
- product or content categories;
- products or structured content;
- manufacturers.
It also includes plugins for:
- PayPal Checkout, PayPal Standard, and Stripe Checkout;
- PDF document generation;
- Joomla privacy integration;
- login redirection and user-data deletion.
Some plugins require additional configuration before they can be used.
Accessing the Administration Interface
After installation, go to Components → MirandaPlace.
From the administration interface, you can manage:
- products and structured content;
- categories and manufacturers;
- custom fields and field groups;
- product cards and presentation layouts;
- orders and customers;
- invoices, credit notes, withdrawal and return requests;
- taxes and store settings;
- payment and shipping methods.
- bookable products, resources, calendars and reservations;
In Store Config, choose the default operating mode: Ecommerce, Catalog, or Content (CCK).
Each category can inherit this default or use its own mode. This allows you to combine online sales, product showcases, and structured content on the same website.
Administration sections remain available according to your user permissions. Choosing Catalog or CCK as the default does not disable sales administration or hide existing orders.
See Operating Modes for configuration details and examples.
