MirandaPlace Docs
Orders
The Orders section provides access to customer purchases, payment information, shipment management, and order history.
Use it to review an order, follow its progress, manage the available operational actions, and access related documents.
To access order management, go to:
Components → MirandaPlace → Sales → Orders
Available actions depend on your administration permissions, the payment method, and the current order conditions.
The order list provides an overview of purchases, including:
- order number and creation date;
- customer;
- order status;
- payment information;
- withdrawal status;
- order total.
Select an order number or use Open to display its details.
Search
Search by order number.
To find an order using its internal database ID, enter id: followed by the number, for example:
id:125
Advanced Filters
Use the available filters to narrow the list by:
- order status;
- payment gateway;
- payment operational status;
- withdrawal status;
- creation date range.
Payment operational status helps identify orders with pending attempts, failed attempts, or no recorded payment attempt.
Sorting options include creation date, total, order number, and ID.
Summary Indicators
The summary distinguishes the total order count from indicators calculated for the current page.
Indicators labelled on page, such as paid orders or orders needing attention, refer to the displayed page rather than the complete order archive.
The header summarizes the order number, creation date, total, and current operational states.
These states describe different aspects of the order:
Information | Purpose |
|---|---|
Order status | The order’s overall recorded state. |
Payment information | Payment method, transaction references, attempts, and verified outcomes. |
Shipping status | Preparation, dispatch, delivery, or return of the shipment. |
Withdrawal status | Progress of the related withdrawal or refund process. |
These values are managed through their respective operations. Marking a shipment as delivered, for example, does not itself confirm payment.
Order Items
The item table displays the purchased products, quantities, SKU information, unit prices, and line totals.
Additional information may appear for particular product types, including Access operations and validity information.
Totals
The financial summary includes the applicable product subtotal, discounts, shipping, taxes, and final total.
Payment method, shipping method, coupon information, and customer notes are shown when available.
Billing & Shipping Information
The order retains the address information recorded for that purchase.
Order items and financial information represent the recorded transaction. Editing the current product or customer profile does not turn the order into a newly calculated purchase.
The order detail is an operational record; it does not provide general editing of purchased items, quantities, or prices.
For orders using an offline payment method, authorized administrators can update the order status through Order status update.
Select the target status, enter an explanatory note where appropriate, and apply the update.
For the standard statuses, the supported manual transitions are:
Current status | Available next statuses |
|---|---|
Pending | Paid, Failed, Cancelled |
Paid | Refunded, Cancelled |
Failed | Pending, Cancelled |
Cancelled | No further transition within this standard sequence |
Refunded | No further transition within this standard sequence |
Changing an order to Failed, Cancelled, or Refunded requires a note and confirmation.
Online Payments
Manual order-status changes are blocked for orders using online payment gateways.
Their payment-related updates must follow verified gateway events or the available payment reconciliation and refund operations.
This preserves the connection between the recorded order state and the actual payment result.
Effects of Status Changes
Status changes can trigger additional processing.
For example, a qualifying paid status initiates invoice issuance and the applicable digital or Access entitlement processing. Cancellation or refund statuses can suspend the associated entitlements.
A manual status change does not send a refund through an online payment provider.
Notifications & History
When a manual status change succeeds, MirandaPlace attempts to send the corresponding customer notification.
The accompanying note may be included in that notification, so write it with the customer in mind.
Use Resend email when the order email needs to be sent again.
The status history records updates and their associated notes and dates.
The payment section helps you understand what happened during payment processing.
Where available, it displays:
- payment attempts;
- transaction or session references;
- verified payment events;
- reported amounts and currencies;
- event outcomes and verification information.
A payment attempt records an interaction with the payment process. It does not necessarily mean that funds were received.
Payment Reconciliation
When supported and available, use the payment reconciliation action to check the order against the provider’s recorded payment information.
This can help resolve an order whose local payment information has not yet caught up with the provider.
Reconciliation checks the payment outcome; it does not initiate a new customer purchase.
Refund Action
Eligible payments may provide a refund action and an amount field.
The available operation depends on the gateway’s capabilities and the remaining refundable amount.
A gateway refund, a credit note, and a physical stock return are separate operations.
See Withdrawals, Returns & Refunds for the complete refund workflow and Invoices & Credit Notes for the related documents.
The shipment section records fulfilment information separately from payment status.
Available shipping statuses include:
- Not required;
- Pending;
- Processing;
- Shipped;
- Delivered;
- Returned.
Use Not required when the order does not require a physical shipment.
Shipment Details
The available fields include:
- carrier;
- tracking code;
- tracking URL;
- shipment date;
- delivery date;
- delivery notes;
- a note for the shipment update.
The tracking URL must be a valid URL.
Saving Shipment Information
Use Save shipment to record changes to the shipment fields.
This action does not send the dedicated shipment or delivery notification.
Marking an Order as Shipped
Use Mark shipped to record dispatch and send the shipment notification.
Provide at least one of the following: carrier, tracking code, or tracking URL.
If the shipment date is empty, MirandaPlace records the current date and time.
Marking an Order as Delivered
Use Mark delivered to record delivery and send the delivery notification.
If the delivery date is empty, MirandaPlace records the current date and time.
Shipment updates are also recorded in the order history.
A Returned shipping status records the shipment condition; it does not itself perform a payment refund.
When an invoice is associated with the order, the invoice section displays its main information and provides access to the document.
Available actions can include:
- opening the invoice;
- downloading its PDF;
- downloading its XML file, when generated and available.
See Invoices & Credit Notes for document generation and configuration.
Checkout Consents
The consent section displays the information recorded during checkout, including privacy and terms acceptance where available.
When separate immediate-performance consent was required and accepted, the order also retains its recorded text and associated acceptance information.
These records belong to the order and are not replaced when the current store configuration changes.
Withdrawals & Returns
The order displays the related withdrawal status so that you can follow the request alongside payment and shipment information.
Use the dedicated withdrawal and return workflow to manage the request and its outcome.
See Withdrawals, Returns & Refunds for the detailed procedure.
Preserving Order Records
Orders are retained as transaction records.
The Orders section does not provide ordinary publication, unpublication, trash, or deletion operations.
Use the appropriate status, shipment, payment, or withdrawal action to record what happened to an order.
